In the 1980’s in addition to our primary type of projects, new and renovated stores

in regional shopping centers, we started building freestanding single user stores and multiuser buildings. The Company also began doing complete exterior renovations to smaller strip centers. The relationships management nourished with our clients began driving the expansion of our company.

William L. Winkel decided to turn over the daily operations to his son, Richard W. Winkel C.E.O.

Richard has been an integral member of Winkel Construction, Inc. since obtaining a degree in Architectural and Construction Design in 1990. William and Richard have worked side by side managing the business for many years. William L. Winkel remains a very valuable member of Winkel Construction, Inc. as an advisor and officer of the corporation.

Management expanded our traditional “home market area” from an area within a 500-mile radius of Central Florida,

We are now licensed throughout the southeast. The Company has routinely maintained licensing in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Since 2013, we grew our service area by obtaining licenses in Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas and Kentucky.

    From the first consultation to the last invoice paid (and afterward) Storm Proof Roofing Systems went above and beyond my expectations. Houston Poyner, their roofing specialist, took several hours going over my concerns in person as a first-time new re-roof buyer. He met me on a Saturday for my convenience. He investigated and responded to all of my questions and concerns in detail.Storm Proof Roofing Systems prices were as competitive compared to other contractors I contacted.These extra steps of customer service are why I chose this company over others.The roofing and gutter crew was highly efficient, friendly and I admired how they worked without complaint in this exhausting Florida heat. The effort of cleanup after completion was remarkable!Houston gladly took the time to address every additional concern that I pointed out during and after the completion of the roof and gutters, meeting me after normal working hours to accommodate my schedule.The finished job made an outstanding face change to my home!     The whole process was a really positive experience! Needless to say, needing a new roof out of the blue can be pretty traumatic.     Cyndi & Dan November 30th, 2021 was a very important day for my wife and I. At 7:30 am the roofing crew shows up and begins covering the ground, bushes and other areas around the house with tarp to protect it all from falling debris/shingles being removed from our roof. The crew promptly removed old shingles, ridge vents and damaged plywood. Then replaced w/new plywood, sealed all needed areas and attached new shingles to the roof. All this was done in a days time, by 6 pm we had a new Shingled Roof. My wife and I were very impressed by the professionalism that Storm Proof Roofing gave to us that day. We were especially pleased with Roof Specialist Houston Poyner and General Manager Justin Johnson when they came to our home to meet with us and explain what they have to offer for new shingles. My wife and I were shown several different manufactures they use that provide Architectural shingles and assortment of colors to choose from. We also have Solar panels on our roof and Justin was instrumental in calling the solar company for us and getting them to remove and reinstall without any problems or extra cost to us. This is a company that we will Highly recommend to use when you are ready to replace your roof system.

    Our experience with storm proof roofing was 10/10!! Houston was our roofing solutions specialist and provided urgent response, precise details and diligence throughout this process. The roof was finished within two weeks of speaking to him (would have been shorter if weather was on our side). HIGHLY RECOMMEND Storm Proof Roofing, and Houston to help aide you through the process!
